Regionals will take place in January and February of each year and will be hosted at various locations across the state.
Top regional teams are invited to the state tournament with no additional fees.

After registering, your regional director will send you a regional team number that you will use to prepare your team and schedule the students for each competition. The regional director will contact you about the details of preparation for the regional tournament.
Advancing to States
- State Tournament Capacity: Each division may have up to 42 teams invited to the state tournament from across the state. If more teams participate in a regional division than there are available state spots, the regional tournament will serve as a qualifier, and the top-performing teams will be invited.
- School Limit: No more than three teams from the same school may advance to the state tournament.
- Regional Allocation: Each region will be guaranteed at least three state tournament spots per division. Additional spots will be allocated proportionally based on the number of teams registered for each regional tournament compared with the total number of teams registered statewide.
- Unused Regional Spots: If a region receives more state spots than the number of teams that participate in that region, the unused spots will be returned to a statewide pool and redistributed to other regions based on their percentage of statewide participation. The State Director will oversee this redistribution.
- Invitation Confirmation: Invited teams must confirm their expected participation in the state tournament within two weeks of receiving their invitation. If a team does not confirm within this timeframe, its spot may be offered to another team at the discretion of the State Director.
- Rounding Adjustments: If the allocation calculations result in an unassigned spot due to rounding, the State Director will determine which team receives the additional invitation.
